Aqua Restaurant & Lounge Review
Aqua Restaurant & Lounge is the best lounge in
Beverly Hills you can find. It is located in the heart of Beverly Hills between
Brighton Way and Little Santa Monica Blvd on the east side of North Beverly Drive.
The interior has a feel of a ship deck with an aquatic vibe from a coral dining
room to the wood paneled VIP lounge.
The seats are extremely comfortable, surrounded
by large TV’s, fabulous aquariums with a variety of beautiful fishes and great music
and surreal lights that makes the ambience very cozy and romantic at the same time.
There is a great space for dancing and the dance floor is open all night for your
enjoyment, and make sure you dress to impress!
Our special thanks to Chef Ian Kleinman, who comes from Colorado and was recently
the executive chef at Emogene patisserie et Cafe in Cherry Creek. He developed an
interest in cooking at a young age in conjunction with his family's restaurant,
the Golden Pan, in Breckenridge. As a teenager, he worked the line and moved through
the kitchens of local venues such as the Augusta at the Westin Hotel and the Rattlesnake
Grill. After he graduated from the Art Institute, Kleinman worked at Rialto Cafe
before moving on to a chef position at Hilltop Cafe, then went on to make a name
for himself at Indigo restaurant in Cherry Creek. Kleinman has been a participant
in the respected James Beard Foundation in New York, the youngest chef in Colorado
to cook there three times. He was named runner-up to Colorado's ACF Chef of the
Year in 2004, and volunteers his time for school events and with SOS Operation Frontine.

We were very excited about trying their tapa appetizers, which I heard were excellent,
and I was not disappointed at all. Everything was delicious and we started with
the Goat Cheese and Dry Cherry Wontons with tomato jam. Next we had the Shrimp Phyllo Rolls
with Citrus Rissotto, this one has a delicious crispy taste and it
is very unique. I do not recall having it anywhere else.

Kobe Beef Sliders
The Lobster Tacos with Chipolte Cream and
Jicama Orange Slaw were also very good, and note that we only had a taste, their
portion is about 4 servings, The Crisp Lump Crab Cakes with Avocado Relish also
very good and crunchy, and the Roasted Short Rib with Potato Pancake and Morel Sauce,
an excellent choice as well.
Shrimp Phyllo Rolls with Citrus Rissotto
I can’t say which one of these were the best, all of our appetizer selection were
delicious, tasty and fresh, but I must say that you can’t miss the Kobe Beef Sliders
with Spicy Bacon and Cheese Sauce, service with Fried Potatoes.
They are like mini
Hamburguers, the meat is delicious, and this is the
winner and I will certainly
go back for more!
Short Rib with Potato Pancake and Morel Sauce
For desserts the chef suggested that we try the Hawaian Doughnuts with Jasmine chocolate
sauce, simply the best, before,during and after dinner!
The fare is Creative World Cuisine, which uses common international ingredients
in new and exciting ways. Chef Ian Kleinman wants to give you a new taste experience.
The menu is intended for sharing so that people try as many different flavors as
possible. They support the local farmers, and use organic ingredients when possible.
Their fish is caught daily by Honolulu Fish Company and flown to them next day.
Hawaian Doughnuts with Jasmine chocolate sauce
Price range for tapas-style small plates from $9 to $18 and for entrees the range
is $24 to $36. Dining room opens at 6:00 p.m. and serves until 11:00 p.m. The bar
appetizer menu is available until 1:00 a.m. Reservations required. Full dinner menu
is available at the lounge and bar areas.
They have 2 beautiful bars offering premium liquors and a full wine and champagne
Also they have a gorgeous VIP room that can host private parties up to 50 people.
Do not miss this place, it is like bringing back the old good times to Beverly Hills,
and this place is here to stay! I will definitely go back and bring all my friends!

Thanks for recommending Club Aqua to us. My wife and I had dinner
there and it
was soooo good, that we decided to have a party in the club. Last week
we hosted 76 friends from 6:30 to 9:30 privately. We had cocktails with great hors
douvres passed, then dinner and dancing. At 9:30 the doors opened to the public,
but our guests stayed and enjoyed the club. Again, thanks for the tip...we had a
