Kick-Up Your Boots at the ALL-NEW Country Freedom Festival

[San Pedro, Calif.] - May 14, 2019 – The Port of Los Angeles is going country with the inaugural Country Freedom Festival, an all-day country music fest celebrating active military, veterans, and first responders at the waterfront venue on Saturday, October 19. The first-year music festival brings today’s hottest country artists to San Pedro with live performances by Cody Johnson, Daniel Bonte, Honey County and many more still to be announced. Dani Rose of the L.A.-based trio Honey County is looking forward to performing on the Country Freedom stage. “We are beyond thrilled to be on the line-up for the Country Freedom Festival among so many talented artists,” Rose commented. “We recently finished a navy tour overseas and a national Army base tour with Thompson Square this past year. We love supporting the men and women that serve our country and we are looking forward to honoring our first responders and military in October.”

The power-house all female group including electric guitarist and vocalist Devon Jane, as well as, acoustic player and vocalist Katie Stump, just performed at Stagecoach in April 2019. Their single ‘Love Someone’ was featured on CMT’s “Nashville” and the remix of their song ‘Los Angeles’ was also featured on the NFL Network. Their new single “Country Strong” was an official song of Stagecoach and the live performance commemorated the lives lost at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas in 2017 and last year in another mass shooting, at the Borderline country bar in Thousand Oaks. Honey County’s performance showcased nearly 100 dancers who danced to choreographed moves on stage while hundreds of onlookers were invited to join in, many of whom participated in dance lessons offered over the preceding two days.

Joining Honey County on the Country Freedom Stage is chart topping Cody Johnson who has two releases on the Top 10 of Billboard’s country albums and California Country star Daniel Bonte who has shared the main stage with some of Country music's major acts including Lee Brice, Billy Currington, Dustin Lynch, Justin Moore, Easton Corbin, and Chase Rice. In addition to a full day of some of the greatest live music the country scene has to offer, the Country Freedom Festival concert-goers will enjoy the boot-stomping good time with delicious food vendors, including a 70ft BBQ, multiple bars, mechanical bull rides, line dancing lessons, country yard-games and more. The littlest of cowboys and cowgirls are invited to partake in the festivities as well with a Kids Zone offering kid-friendly games, watermelon eating contests, and more.

Tickets to the Country Freedom Festival are on sale today. Pre-sale general admission tickets are $35 per person and pre-sale VIP tickets are $115 per person. Pre-sale tickets are available online while supplies last and are expected to sell out quickly. General admission tickets are $59 per person and VIP tickets will be $149-$199 and $2299-$2499 for VIP cabanas.
