Breeze Restaurant Review

The Breeze is a brilliant restaurant located in Century City at the Hyatt Regency Century Plaza. I was surprised to see such a friendly place, not so usual for a
hotel restaurant. But the service and the warming atmosphere, makes Breeze a
place to not miss. My definition of Breeze is unmistakable service quality, exceptionally crafted, brilliant food, elegant and magic!

Breeze it's a smart, contemporary space with a gorgeous open bar area, and the drinks are absolutely amazing. The side patios are so gorgeous that makes you believe you are not in Los Angeles, but in some Caribbean Island, and a riotous clamor of a scene. I love that you can also stop in for a lunch business, or take your friends, all at very moderate prices.

The dining room sparkles, our dinner was just spectacular, and since I live in the area, I will make that my favorite restaurant from now on, and will take all my family and close friends for another pleasant culinary experience.

We started at the bar and greeted by their friendly bartender who did a great
Mojito, it was truly one of the best in town! Also their wine list is
impressively large and affordable.

I could not wait for my dinner, my intuition told me that it was going to be truly impressionable, and I was right on!

Our friendly waiter guided us, as per my request, on the appetizer's menu, so we started with the Vegetable Dumpling, with micro sprouts, sweet dipping chili sauce, very delicious and light, we liked very much, followed by the Organic Baby Green Salad; with Roquefort crusted goat cheese on a shallot vinaigrette dressing, that I really enjoyed because it was very fresh and you just can't reproduce this dressing at home, it just does not taste the same!

We could not miss their Blue Fin Tuna Tartar, the Jonah Crab Cake, and the Porcini Crusted Scallops, all of them were not only presented beautifully but the tasting was stunningly diverse from any other restaurant I've been.

There's more to come, much more. Tempted by the main course, from many choices we had, delectable highlights include the Seafood lemon Risotto with prawn, mussel and scallop and the Pecan Crusted Red Snapper on a Sonoma Chardonnay sauce. Now, do I need to say that it was superb? Simply the best choice, the fish was cooked perfectly and the risotto, reminded me of my mother's homemade one... but this one was even better!

As far as meat, we could not pass on the Roasted Lamb Rack and the Prime Filet Mignon served with whipped potato, sautéed Bloomsdale spinach. When the steak comes, it's just as we ordered -- charred medium rare. Tender and juicy, it gets high marks for flavor. This is the best steak in the house. It's rectangular, when I cut it, it's slippery soft. The texture is almost liver-y." Also, the Lamb was very tender and the texture and flavor were again, deliciously done.

Last Impression is the title of their dessert menu… and I was truly impressed, Master Pastry chef Thomas Henzi, turns out sophisticated, mannered desserts. Some of them are really, really good. I never tasted such a delicious dessert that makes you not stop eating until you finally see it is gone, the name; Fried Beignets, served with strawberry and Mango Salsa, on Caramel Bananas with Peppered Strawberry Sorbet. Please, don’t miss this one, I guarantee you there this is the best Beignets of your entire life! We were also surprised by the Grand Marnier Crème Brulee, with Fresh Raspberries, and Almond Financier Cake, again Fantastic and different from any other crème Brule I’ve tasted.
