Fogo De Chao Resaurant Review
FOGO DE CHAO The original taste of Southern Brazil. When you go to Fogo de Chao,
you have to come very very hungry… This place is for meat lovers and for those who
truly appreciate the flavors and taste of this authentic Brazilian Churrascaria.
Churrascaria (shoo-rah-scah-REE-ah) is the name used to describe a restaurant that
serves meat, mostly grilled, and Rodizio is a method of serving the different cuts
of meat that originated in the south of Brazil in the early 1800's.
The entrance is gorgeous, the decoration is amazing, and the service is as impeccable
and friendly as it can be! There is a beautiful bar which serves any drink you wish,
including the Brazilian most famous: “Caipirinha”, which if you like “Pinga”
you
will love this drink, it is a must try!
The center of the main dining room is decorated with stylized paintings of gaucho
life in Brazil. The “gauchos” who serves you makes you feel at home, and they all
are just great and do not know what to do so please you.
If you are a Vegetarian, you will certainly enjoy the salad bar, which I could not
complain at all, there is all you can eat salads, including salmon, Italian prosciutto
di parma, parmesan cheese, salami, and endive lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers,
vegetables, olives, along with more temptation offerings, including smoked salmon,
tuna salad, , artichoke hearts, pasta salads, hearts of palm with tomato etc.
Then when you are seated, you will be getting at your table, on a non-stopping basis:
this delicious bread called: “Pao de Queijo”, a very delicate bread made with melted
cheese, a delicacy in Brazil.
You will also get the authentic Brazilian rice, black beens, the most delicious
crunch and crispy fried polenta, sweet fried bananas, garlic mashed potatoes, and
a large bowl of Farofa, a powdery food topping made from Brazilian plant root, so
you can dip your meat there for flavor.
The concept of Churrascaria is to serve a wide variety of different cuts of beef,
pork, lamb, chicken, etc., in succession, to each dinner individually right at your
table, therefore there is not a traditional menu.
The restaurant features a fixed-price continuous tableside service, the meats include:
Picanha
a very popular cut, which is part of the sirloin served with
sea salt or flavored with garlic.
Filet Mignon
this delicious peace of meat, is cut from the
tenderloin and served wrapped in bacon.
Alcatra
cut from the top sirloin, this piece of meat is tender and full of flavor
Fraldinha
cust from the bottom sirloin, and seasoned to perfection.
