Eurochow Restaurant Review

There is a history behind this iconic Eurochow restaurant, which occupies a landmark building in Westwood. The outside looks like a cathedral with 55-foot high
glass-dome ceiling, and beautiful, stark white interior, which reminds me
of Venice, because it has a style bridge overlooking the opulent
dining-floor. Simply gorgeous!

 

When first MR CHOW opened in 1968 in London, followed by locations in Beverly Hills in 1974, in New York in 1979 and the most recent opening in Seoul, Korea
in 2004. The creator, Mr. Michael Chow, is an icon in the international
restaurant world. He is also the owner of Eurochow, which I had the
pleasure of dining and enjoying their fantastic food.

 
 

Mr. Michael Chow is also a designer, artist, actor, and art collector. To find out

shares his collection of artwork by great artists of the 20th century.

 

The menu at EUROCHOW derives from two wonderful cuisines: Italian and
Chinese. The kitchen is divided accordingly, and their Italian chefs and
Chinese chefs harmoniously work together to prepare authentic
dishes using the freshest and best ingredients.

We truly had such an amazing experience trying Italian and
Chinese dishes from the starters and main courses.

 

Their menu is truly wonderful and you can’t go wrong with your choices. All of their dishes are spectacular. The décor is magnificent, their main dining room also
include the Martini Lounge, where guests can enjoy a selection from the
full bar including the famous EUROCHOW martinis, or the wine list.

 

Gold-leaf screens surround the lounge, and guests are seated comfortably on cozy white couches and love seats with large throw pillows. Two red lacquer tables
that are lit in the center accent the center of the lounge.

For martini lovers, try the Purple Rain, Apple Martini, Rainbow, Blue Venus,
or Lychee Martini. For champagne cocktails, try our Bellini, Kir Royal,
or Chowlini. Their wine list offers a great selection of California and
Italian wines and champagnes.


Calamari Fritti

Try a light snack from the bar menu (such as Calamari Fritti,
Petite Shrimp Rolls, or Finger Sandwiches).

If you are there for the first time, try a mix of these favorite starters: Glazed Prawns with Walnut, Prosciutto di Parma with Mozzarella Burrata, the Caprese
Tricolore with red, yellow and green tomatoes with bufala mozzarella
and basil, and the best Spare Ribs – a classic at Eurochow!

For main course, Chef Giuseppe sent us their not to miss Baked Chilean Sea Bass, served with mashed potatoes and mixed vegetables, the Eurochow Filet Mignon; served with arugula and the best French Fries in town, we also tasted the
Spaghetti allo Scoglio, served with fresh shrimp, mussel and clam in
tomato sauce, yes, divine as well!

Beef Short Ribs

They also serve an incredible selection of pizza, calzone and foccacia sandwiches.
We tasted their Prosciutto Pizza, with mascarpone cheese, arugula and shaved parmesan, it is like being at my nonna’s house! Delicious home
made style pizza to die for!

For seafood lovers, they also have oysters, lobster, prawns,
Dungeness crab, clams and abalone (all fresh and served cold).


Panna Cotta, Tiramisu, Key Lime Pie

For dessert, we had a taste of their home made Panna Cotta, including their
other delicious desserts such as Tiramisu, Key Lime Cheese and
Torta Della Nonna, all simply heaven!

The Bar and Martini Lounge is open at 6:00PM until 11:00 p.m.
Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

EUROCHOW's unique menu of authentic Italian and Chinese cuisine combined with the stunning, stark white interior and superb artwork has made it the perfect
setting for movie premiers, launch parties, and special private events.
It is also on the cutting edge for wedding receptions, as brides
are attracted to the white on white interior.

Inside capacity for sit-down dinner parties is about 150 or more plus 40 in the patio. For cocktails & hors d'oeuvres parties, inside capacity is about 280. For bigger events, we have various layouts that utilize the inside and outside areas to accommodate up to 600 guests

I truly recommend Eurochow for any special occasion, or for just a
romantic dinner, this is the place to go.
