La Bodeguita Restaurant Review

La Bodeguita De Pico is an exciting Cuban Restaurant that brings
you the flavor, culture, and fun of Cuba to Los Angeles!

Cuba; known as a jewel in the Caribbean for its pristine beaches,
mountains, and plains, this tropical paradise is a melting
pot of ethnic mixes from every corner of the world.

Throughout the years, Cuba has quietly maintained a faithful commitment to a
history of colorful traditions, and friendly ambience. Our goal is to create the
same warm and relaxed space here at La Bodeguita De Pico in Los Angeles.

Whether you are looking for the very best Cuban food and Happy Hour, an exciting full bar featuring tropical drinks, live music and salsa dancing, outdoor dining for a sumptuous Sunday brunch, or a tranquil outdoor patio to enjoy a Mojito and
relax with your favorite cigar. La Bodeguita De Pico has it all.

The owners look forward to bringing that same commitment to quality food,
abundant dining, and lively atmosphere to you here in Los Angeles.

We went there on a Saturday night, and the place was already packed, with a live Cuban music, the singers were really great, you could feel the energy in the air!

What can go wrong when you have great music, ambience,
fabulous services and wonderful food?

Gran Plato Del Chef, a Traditional Cuban Sampler

Well, we had it all, starting by the appetizers, we had a variety of them, we started with the Gran Plato Del Chef, a traditional Cuban sampler consisting of fried
bananas stuffed with ground beef or shrimp, a fried breaded potato ball
stuffed with ground beef, small chunks of freid pork and banana
chips served with a spicy mojo creole sauce.

Camarones Empanizados                               Yuquita Frita

Next was the Camarones Empanizados, a delicious starter, the shrimps were
breaded and fried with a tangy creole sauce, and the amazing Yuquita
Frita, Tender deep fried yucca served with a cilantro sauce.

Ensalada de Aguacate

As far as Salads, there were so many to choose from, but my choice was the
Ensalada de Aguacate, a fresh cut avocados, vine ripened tomatoes
and sweet onions and a delicious garlic and olive oil sauce!

Paella Cubana

Our dinner was also wonderful, they have a great variety of Platos Fuertes / Entrees, and we were really excited about trying them. All entrees were served with
platano maduro, (sweet plaintains) and choice of white
rice and black beans, with jasmine yellow rice.

Halibut Fillet Topped with an Orange Glaze

I order the Paella Cubana, which was delicious and the half portion was enough for two people, also we had the Pescado al Mojo Naranja, a sautéed Halibut
fillet topped with an orange glaze, a great choice, it was light and fresh.

Clasico Plato Cubano

Our guests had the Clasico Plato Cubano, with white rice and black beans,
roasted pork and ground beef in a habanera sauce and yucca
with Cuban sauce, served with a sweet plantains.

Bistec Empanizado

The Bistec Empanizado was a great choice; a pan cooked
breaded beef topped with Mojo Sauce.

Assorted Dessert Platter

To end our meal the wonderful chef prepared a combo of
amazing desserts and we all enjoyed very much!
