THROUGH THE JUNIOR LEAGUE OF LOS ANGELES
Los Angeles, April 5, 2014 – On Saturday, April 5th at 6:30pm at the Petersen Automotive Museum, the Junior League of Los Angeles
(JLLA) will host its second annual Casino Angeleno fundraiser event. This event, which is entirely planned and executed
by Junior League volunteers, is one of the organization’s tent pole fundraisers, which supports the League’s -community
partners. All of funds raised at Casino Angeleno will directly benefit JLLA’s projects that improve literacy, education,
and self-esteem/empowerment in women and children in Los Angeles. JLLA’s local partners include: The Children’s Bureau,
Children’s Institute, Inc., Daybreak, Heart of Los Angeles and The Mar Vista Family Center.
At this year’s Casino Angeleno, which is themed to the 1920’s, guests will have a chance to enjoy a full range of casino games,
music from DJ Gabriel Diggs (“Fresca Sol” radio show, “Refresh” podcast), eats from several of Los Angeles’ most popular
restaurants and more, all while enjoying the beautiful displays of historic vehicles at the Petersen Automotive Museum.

Attendees can also expect to mingle and gamble with some celebrity guests! Previous Casino Angeleno attendees have included
Candice Cameron Bure (“Full House”), Pandora Vanderpump (“Vanderpump Rules”) and contestants from FOX’s popular dance
competition show “So You Think You Can Dance.”
The event also includes a Silent Auction with high-end items and unique experiences furnished by League members and local donors.
Highlights of this year’s auction include: A two-night stay in Paris including breakfast at Le Bristol Paris, a trip to the
Kentucky Derby, tickets to the PGA Masters Tournament, an at-home cooking party from Gourmandise School of Sweets and
Savories, classes from The Bar Method, tickets to see the Harlem Globetrotters, a 2-night stay at the Hotel Normandie,
a beauty party for 10 courtesy of Kiehl’s, tickets to a taping of “So You Think You Can Dance,” a year’s worth of
Sprinkles Cupcakes, Barry’s Bootcamp Classes and more!
League members and their guests are encouraged to take advantage of special partnerships with Blushington, Assembly and the
Hotel Normandie. Prior to the event, Blushington (8951 Sunset Blvd. West Hollywood) is offering event attendees special
