SANTA MONICA, CA (August 6, 2015) – This October 22-25, WestEdge Design Fair returns for a third year to The Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, bringing the best designers, makers and architects from across the nation, and the world, to the doorsteps of Los Angeles’ innovative Silicon Beach. For four days, the press, trade and public will have an opportunity to shop more than 150 exhibiting brands and products for the home, ranging from furniture and lighting, to kitchen and bath lines. The event, which is geared towards influential members of the design community and design enthusiasts at large, will include curated selections from leading brands, live demonstrations, educational panel discussions, and a multitude of new initiatives celebrating everything from makers of handcrafted furniture and lighting to international manufacturers.

WestEdge co-founders and show producers, Megan Reilly and Troy Hanson, bring 25 years of collective experience in the design industry. Both have a passion for design and have been leaders in the design community, managing and producing some of the most important design-oriented events, including the Architectural Digest Home Design Show, the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF), NeoCon and NeoCon West.

New This Year The most daring new initiative this year will be the juried MADE:MODERN showcase highlighting dozens of designers and makers who specialize in unique, exquisitely handcrafted, limited production designs. MADE:MODERN will appeal to those who appreciate craftsmanship in design and want the opportunity to engage with the designer’s behind the work. The mix of local, national and international designers and makers will include ShopFloor Design, J Liston Design , Pamela Sunday , Matthew Fairbank Design, and Ensso, amongst others. Other confirmed design brands at this year’s show include Carl Hansen & Son, David Trubridge , Naula , Pibamarmi , Smeg USA , Fantini USA , Resource Furniture, and Zia Priven among dozens more.

Educational Stage
On the Jenn-Air Master Class Studio educational stage, attendees will have the opportunity to learn from top names in the design industry with complimentary panel discussions throughout all four days. Topics will range from Kitchens for Entertaining and Bringing the Travel Experience Home to Technology and the Changing Landscape of Interior Design and Tile Makes a Room. Featured speakers will include Fu- Tung Cheng, Oliver Furth, Steven Brown, Mat Sanders, Martyn Lawrence Bullard, Jaime Derringer, Anna Brockway, Michael Wollaeger, Susan McFadden, and Russ Diamond, among others.
