Lot 1224 Restaurant Review
LOT 1224 – Located in Beverly Hills at the Loews Hotel. This is a very upscale,
luxurious, trendy and cozy place, with a nice bar, and soft and comfortable couches
and TV’s, including a candlelit outdoor patio and also dining area close to the
pool. This is a perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a casual encounter atthe poolside.
With Chef Katsuji Tanabe and Executive Chef Kelly E. Wangard, Lot 1224 offers an
epicurean delight with a refined French/Latin menu. Elaborated with fresh market
ingredients, and with delicate flavors, the Chef promises to make your evening unforgettable.
This restaurant offers occasionally brilliant dishes with much attention to detail
from the chef.

The bar is very comfortable with an inviting atmostphere along with great
selection
of drinks. We tried a variety of drinks; the Moet Chandon Brut Imperial,
a drink called the Governator wich is a sweeter version of a Long Island Ice Tea
with Grenadine and Midori, and their Mojito.

To start, we loved to try the Appetizers choose by the chef and the ones we
had
were beyond belief. Haven't had this interesting menu and we
absolutely enjoyed
very much.
Thai Fried Calamari with spicy chile sauce
We tried the Roasted Duck Strudel, a delicious pastry very crispy with goat cheese,
arugula, sesame mustard and duck, I loved this one, then we had the Thai Fried Calamari
with spicy chile sauce, we also had the Curried Potato and Pea Samosas, with cilandro
and mint yogurt sauce, and finally the Sweet Corn Fritters, with chipotle aioli
sauce. All we very exquisite and very satisfying before dinner.

Another great thing about this restaurant is that if you have any diet or health
restrictions they will be more than happy to accommodate your needs.
Shrimps with Chorizo
For main courses we were offered 2 dishes, the chef’s special Shrimps with chorizo
which was good, and the Seabass, which was also very good, served with cuzcuz on
the side. The menu is being changed, so the Chef suggested that we return to try
their new menu since the old menu was not available at this time.

For the dessert we had the Banana Churros on a
Chocolate
sauce and Vanilla
Ice Cream.
