Take a journey that will relax your mind, revitalize your body and rejuvenate your soul to get the most out of life. As soon as you arrive at the spa, you will be greeted by a group of amazing employees who will guide you and provide you with a locker, robe and sandals. The waiting room is also very comfortable, giving you the kind of peace and transporting you into a very relaxing state of mind. You can have tea, juices, fruits and relax while waiting for your name to be called.
Among many treatments that they offer, I personally chose the Balinese Massage. This was an amazing and relaxing massage that you will only find here.
I knew that I was going to enjoy this massage from the beginning. Matt, my masseur was unbelievable talented, so that makes it easier to relax. He also asked me if I had any concern about the depth of pressure during my massage and the temperature of the room, what kind of music I wanted and if I had any other issues that would make my experience the greatest. This is something that you do not get so often, and I was already enjoying it. The massage room is great, the decoration makes you feel you are in Bali, and the smell and ambiance is very soothing. The Balinese Massage is a combination of acupressure, rolling motions and rhythmic strokes that relieves tension and promotes total relaxation. You also have a choice of choosing between 4 oils that will be applied to your body. I personally choose the ginger oil, which was very refreshing and light. This massage took about 50 minutes, but I wished it lasted a couple more hours.
I told Matt that he was truly the best masseur I ever had, and I was not kidding, this guy is a talent and his massage gave me the relaxation promised, I was feeling great and ready for my facial.
Then, after being so relaxed it was time for my facial. Among a huge variety of effective facial treatments you can choose from, I wanted to try the Oxygenating Repair. These facial basically restore your skin’s natural glow with a treatment designed to repair damage caused by stress, smoking, or pollution and other environmental aggressors. At Paradise Spa their facial treatments and products are designed to promote the healthy aging of your skin. Their natural skincare products enhance skin health. Regardless of your skin type, you will see and feel a positive difference with the very first treatment.
Kathryn my facial specialist takes rejuvenation and well being seriously. I enjoyed every minute of it; she was kind and gentle and did an excellent job. Again the spa offers a varied palette of exclusive treatments developed by their team of professionals that you will only be able to find at Paradise Spa. This multi-layer hydration facial I had will revive lost luster and condition, and alleviate pesky complexion concerns due to environmental changes, leaving your skin looking youthful and firm. It took about 50 minutes and I felt totally rejuvenated and ready for a beautiful evening ahead.
The spa also offers a variety of great places to eat. You may want to start your day with breakfast at Barefoot Bar & Grill, where you can enjoy great and casual food, featuring panoramic views of San Diego’s Mission Bay.
For breakfast they a beautifull buffet as well as the traditional favorites such as
Huevos Rancheros, Two eggs any style, cheese, ranchero sauce, refried beans and sour cream on corn tortillas, or Paradise Omelet, with Shitake mushrooms, spinach and goat cheese while you enjoy a pleasant live music and dancing, surrounded by the astonishing Mission Bay view. Or you can have lunch, like we did, and choose the fish and chips, it had 4 huge light breaded filets of fresh cod, very good and their entire menu is very affordable as well. This dish was large enough to share.
If you want to enjoy a casual dining experience, the other option could be the Tropics
Bar & Grill with pool side service while you are enjoy the sun by the pool. There is a variety of great sandwiches, burgers, quesadilla, hot dogs and salads, or you may want to enjoy your meal by requesting room service. The room service is also a great alternative where you can enjoy a great meal while you relax in your room, this can be very romantic as well, and the menu is absolutely great. What a perfect match!
Guests will also enjoy sumptuous dining in a spectacular waterfront setting at Baleen Restaurant and Bar, featuring Chef Gustavo Trejel delighting guests with his original creations and fabulous food to satisfy your appetite! You do not need to leave the Hotel facilities to enjoy your dinner. Baleen restaurant is absolutely fabulous, the casually elegant setting and the food were extraordinary, and the chef went beyond our expectations and prepared the most amazing, and delicious dinner.
